Spotify - Click HERE to check it out.
Right now I can’t help but believe that this is the future. What is Spotify? On-demand streaming of just about every song the world has every known (it will be ultimately anyways). “STREAMING?” you may ask…YES, STREAMING…NOT DOWNLOADING.
Here’s why: Internet is about to be unimaginably fast, and blanket the whole country/planet. It’s going to be fast on handheld devices, it’s going to be with us everywhere. Don’t believe me? Read THIS article. Verizon has bought the 700mhz band which (in extrememly dumbed down terms) can transmit internet at a stupid-high speed. The 700mhz band is what analog TV used to broadcast on. Remember seeing the “Switch to digital TV” commercials over the last year? Yea, that’s what it was talking about.
Point is, when internet is THAT fast, I won’t have a reason to download music…I can stream it seamlessly from my laptop, desktop, cell phone, iPod (assuming Apple makes this play which I have to think they will), anytime - anywhere.
This is what Spotify is gunning for. They’ve already got the licenses to do this in a number of countries but not yet in the US. I really hope the major labels in the US get out ahead of this and start working on the licenses, profit-share, royalty rate, and all that good stuff before this really takes off.
It’s always better the be out in front of the new technology rather than playing catch up! (napster).

Michael Jackson’s albums sold over 800k this past week…

I wonder how much more that would be if people didn’t illegally download it? Probably, just insane numbers would have been sold.

Inn-N-Out Burger
I love Southern California and Inn-N-Out Burger is one of the main reasons why. I can’t explain to you why it’s so good. All the workers there work hard and it’s always packed. ColourAcademy was in California a couple years back and we eat there 5 days in a row. It was friggn awesome!
…I’m not even a crazy fan of burgers.  haha
